Today I saw a church parking lot yard sale for Palestine filled with people shopping for mountains of donated housewares. It's not enough but it's a hell of a lot better than nothing.

I wrote a thesis on this in 2015 & it was already firmly established in the US then — the UK is usually ahead of them. You can see both value & volume start going up sharply post-2010 driven by Provencal wines, which established the association pale rosé = good in the popular imagination.

I caved. It was pretty bad or, rather, an illustration of why we shouldn’t get political or sociological analysis from Netflix.
