Aside from a brief (and rewarding) stint volunteering at a local primary school, I've never had classes. But I've worked in an office where we had clients who had such an effect on me, so I absolutely relate.

If we're talking porn, I've always assumed it refers to performers/models who have only recently reached the age where they are legally permitted to perform/pose. But it's not something I've put a lot of thought into.

I desperately want this platform to work, but I haven't found a tribe. I've nagged friends into following me from the other place, but they're inactive; Bsky is now like Twitter was for me for 15 years: yawping into the void with little interaction happening.

The feeling is mutual. In two years here I can count the connections I've made on Bluesky on the fingers of one hand, with enough of said fingers left over for provocative gesture, if such were my style.

I’ve never read a Peter Carey novel I haven’t loved. I haven’t read his “The True History of the Kelly Gang” but it might qualify.

I don’t think I’ve ever read an Australian crime novel, and the original poster’s ’etc.’ suggests she’s probably read anything I might be aware of.

Kerry Greenwood’s Phryne Fisher series springs to mind.
