Moral: always hydrate
Everyone's story is different, but @antsimpson.bsky.social and I got two specs into the Austin Film Festival, where I made Norman Lear laugh in a bathroom as we peed next to each other. That is my recommended path.
The reason I focus on writing advice over career advice is because there is a very real reason professionals are often asked "How did you get into the industry?"
