GDOT definitely should have shelled out for protected raised lanes on Ponce but i'll take what I can get

Is there a reason APS or Atlanta or even private taxpayers can't just sue Fulton Co into fixing their commercial assessments? Seems like I've seen a lot of politicians complain about this while doing nothing.

Do you know if it's effective at all? Sounds like it requires litigation so Id imagine it's only feasible for major landowners

For what it's worth, I've been tailed by Waymos while biking a few times now and they're MUCH more courteous than your average driver.

The biggest loss here would be the bus connections. Lindbergh is a huge bus hub. Losing the direct transit connection from Clifton Corridor to Buford Highway and other routes would be a mistake.

Yikes that's a lot of retail being lost, hope Varuni Napoli can find a new space. I'm for pizza over plazas in this instance.

When you consider the retail & commercial spaces, it comes out to less than 1 car per unit. Not bad at all for Atlanta.

It will depend on the size of the tree and how much care the tree needs - but also I'm not convinced fees need to cover 100% of replacement. Housing is valuable and adds recurring tax value to the city's general fund - we shouldn't need to rely on fees for plantings.

Our position is that we're supportive of doubling the tree reimbursement rate, which would put it in line with inflation. What's under consideration is effectively a 6x increase.

Costs aside, just having all of these trails named and put on paper is still a big step.

Would love if we could follow Los Angeles' approach and pass a law requiring any planned bike improvements to be made whenever city streets are resurfaced.

Seems like a lot of Phase 1 is more expensive nature trails.

The road-running segments should be much cheaper - Id think we could do something like a jersey-barrier lane for <$200j per mile.

At least put an "Opinion" label on this millionaire nonsense. You're directly linking their NIMBY petition!

I've always left my helmet hanging on my bike, never had one stolen. If it happens someday, I figure it's my contribution to public health.
