Just got word from my college roommate - who is the state archivist for the state of South Dakota - that due to the DOGE shutdowns of IMLS, they can no longer fund InterLibrary Loan in SD.
This means exchange between libraries, ability to get books delivered across the system, is gone as of 4/30.

This. They are randomly abducting foreign students to create fear, to get those students to leave, to take their incredible minds and money with them. They are trying to destroy learning and long lived institutions. An uninformed populace is more easily controlled.
What people in every part of higher education need to understand is that Republicans now want to do to universities what they’ve tried to do to labor unions: erase them from the institutional landscape. The question is how much you want to collaborate in your own destruction.

Absolutely devouring @chucktingle.bsky.social's Bury Your Gays, about halfway through. I've never been into horror, but this and @tkingfisher.com's creepier works are really hitting right now.
