Windstorm coming so I brought in a bunch of my remaining dahlias.
Several arrangements of dahlias sit in vases on top of some black and white tiles on a table. Too many varieties to name but all the colors of the rainbow, pretty much. There is also a real glass pumpkin, because why not.

This is from last year when it was more prolific. I only got 1-2 flowers this year. They are tiny, like 1.5” across. It’s not that they’re not pretty, I just have limited space and other plants that can use it.

Also, pretty sure my BQ Mojo plant has a sport! Several of the flowers on one side of the plant have been white/pale pink instead of lavender. That’s a first for me.

Yeah this is my first year growing some Bloomquists, also. This one is Bloomquist Alan (I think. There was a labeling snafu but I’m pretty sure)!

Great! I planted several new ones this year and they are making me so happy! Still have a ton of buds, hoping the weather holds a bit longer. Here is one of my new faves (Bloomquist Mojo).

New dahlia for me this year: RM Pink Sugar. Took a while to bloom but wow, worth the wait.

Dahlias are still dahlia-ing, in case you were wondering. These ones are Cutie Patootie (actual variety, not just description). They are pretty small, like 3-4” across.

Mondahlias! Some variations on pinks and yellows today. Plus my disembodied hand.

Sundahlia! This is such a stunner. Remains unclear whether it is Miss Amara or BQ Alan (first bloom looked like Amara, this one looks more like Alan) but WHO CARES LOOK AT IIIIIIIITTTT. 🌱

A bunch of orange/yellow/peach dahlias and a purple dahlia with some white spots in a shiny gray vase with gold flecks. Varieties include Oregon Sunset, Miss Amara (I think), Larks Ebbe, and what might be Cornel Bronze. I am unsure what variety the purple one is.

In case you need a reminder that dahlias do weird things: these two flowers are from the same plant. 🌱

It looks identical but the petals are white, shading to blush at the center and with the same yellow/peachy highlights.

Evening sun at this time of year can be pretty magical.
