One of my first “wow” moments was asking for `figlet` banners in my code comments, the model told me it didn’t have access to the figlet command, I said try to simulate what figlet would do, and it worked!

A better term for what? As I said before there’s nothing distinguishing of “gen” AI as a term. The differences are in scale of utility or outcome of applications, not whether it’s Pepsi or Coke

Ok in that scope, I’d suggest very little harm is being done by studios using tools to work the way they choose while an account like “SLOP DETECTED” has a negative effect on discourse here

Yes: 1* “genai” as a term isn’t distinct from predictors (any predictor can generate, generators work like classifier in reverse). 2* lots of “bad” uses of AI aren’t generative. 3* concedes semantic ground to marketing. 4* obscures your true values: what feels wrong vs What does harm?
