For anyone interested, this is what Photakis' changes to Mayo/Barker would look like (roughly). Current Mayo compared to Photakis' Mayo

As always, I've also updated the candidate tracker below.

It gets so much worse when you dive abit deeper. If you break it down by gender (see below), nearly 50% of women polled were 'unsure', meaning that not a single Liberal politician appealed to them as a potential leader. Horrific stuff for the LNP.

Just going to leave One Nation's timeline here (that I'll now have to update annoyingly). Thanks Pauline/Barnaby...

Firstly, I need to show you their absolutely horrible front page. It's all AI-generated slop, with a picture of a Lion (Trumpet of Patriots vibes anyone?) and a terribly AI-generated pic that can only be described as a mess.

I've also updated the candidate tracker here, adding in all 5 candidates for Labor.

Realised I didn't add the picture, here it is

Decided to finalise my votes as well. I've got some fiction from my childhood, some historical books that I think are excellent/mean alot to me, and also a couple bits of fiction that hit hard (shocked Didion didn't even make the long list at all).

Caught a photo of of the Adelaide Uni merger as I walked to my office. Nexus 10 losing its University of Adelaide signage, in preparation for the new one. The merger only gets closer by the day.

I've updated my candidate tracker once more, removing Susan Close and Stephen Mullighan from their seats and adding two new candidates, Jessica Nies (Legalise Cannabis) and Mark Neugebauer (Independent), to the Legislative Council. See below for details.

Big news coming out of SA today, Peter Malinauskas has announced that Deputy Premier Susan Close and Treasurer Stephen Mullighan will not be recontesting the 2026 state election. I've attached the announcement below, and will update the tracker with my thoughts, but this is big.

So, it looks like we now have a logo for Sarah Game's Fair Go for Australians party. And its... not the worst, however, it's also pretty derivative. It's either a mashup of Labor and Australia's Voice's logos, or a variant of the UWU logo. Way too similar to them at the very least.

I've also done abit of a dive and found 4 more candidates to be added. This includes Legalise Cannabis' first candidate, Jeff Knipe for Chaffey, and three independents, Lou Nicholson, Airlie Keen, and Matt Schutlz. I'll put some info on them below.

The Liberals have put forward their 6 candidates for the Legislative Council, and so I have updated the tracker to give you some idea of who these candidates are. In addition, I've updated the spreadsheet with them as well!

Found another one of these, this time in the 11 November 1932 issue of the 'South Coast Times and Wollongong Argus'. To be fair to these guys, L. Hawken was verbally insulted days prior about being a New Guardsmen, so I have to assume that caused them to do this.

And now I think I've found perhaps the most insane political candidate in any Australian state election. Harry Meatheringham, independent for Annadale, wanted to deport the Governor, make Archbishop Kelly 'King of Australia', and give double dole to women/children and nothing for men.

I just found something hilarious in the Labor Daily from April 1932. Some person, a Carden V Dewhurst, took out ad space to state that they were not part of the New Guard. I really wonder what sequence of events made them feel the need to state that in such a weird place?

Got a few more updates for the list. This includes Mark Neugebauer and Jacob Van Raalte in Adelaide, Gary Hardgrave in Brisbane, and our first politician in Melbourne, Jordan Dittloff. Seems to be the 'whos who' of Australia's Right-wing.

I've been able to add a few more onto the list, including PHON members Lee Hanson in Hobart and Rod Caddies in Perth. I've also found John Macgowan, an independent candidate at the 2025 Tas election, spoke at the Hobart march as well.

I've set up a quick spreadsheet list of the politicians who we know attended the various marches today. Only a small group so far, but a telling one. If you know of any more, feel free to let me know and I'll add them, its important we keep track of what politicians support this.

I've actually done a second round of updates just now, adding in some additional pre-selected candidates for Labor and Liberal (Adelaide & Unley are looking interesting). I also renamed Frome to Ngadjuri.

I've updated the 2026 South Australian election candidates tracker below! Key notes include the addition of the Greens & Sarah Game candidates, Keiran Snape (Independent), and For Unley/Libertarians as parties. I've also removed outgoing Liberal candidates & the UMA from the list.

From Frank 'The Lorax' Pangallo to a Liberal Pre-Selection Hopeful who claims to be able to cure lactose intolerance through prayer, it may have been a slow 48hrs for SA politics but it was not a boring one. The tracker is updated!
