I was happy to pay out a big chunk of my wages for national insurance not just because that's what it is, an insurance policy for me, but because I knew that it helped the welfare bill, which most of us come to rely on at some point in our lives. A social safety net.

It's not about inclusion, it's not about stopping people getting something for nothing or that they don't deserve. It's about flooding the jobs market to keep wages low. That's why they want disabled people in work.

Right now the UK government (who are establishment stooges) are testing how badly they can treat people and get away with it. Unless you're very, very rich, that will be you too further down the line. You should do all you can to stop them now while you're not too distracted by the same crap.

Remember the teacher who'd punish the whole class because of some naughty thing one child did? I do and that's what the government's doing to disabled folks when they justify PIP cuts with fraudulent claims.

A lifetime of pushing myself to the point of crashing, recognising my limits is very important. I believe, for so many like me, that the UK government ignoring people's limits and pushing them into "work" will prove far more expensive than not. Despite the cruelty of it, it's a false economy.

It's interesting that some people will let their hatred of AI, justified or not, displace their empathy for someone who actually needs it to help fight the shit they're being dragged through right now.

Take away what people need and they will be forced to find it on the black market, as a matter of necessity, and those people will have to do whatever is then necessary to pay for it.
