I only hope our nattering class of Democratic do-nothings discover their error when they are swept away by Americans who prefer a course of action and consequence, instead of discovering it at the point of a bullet fired by Trump’s lawless fascist goons.

I’m so proud of our seven foot tall French son. Tearing up with pride

Also, i have spoken to many folks in the cities this past week who have felt gaslit by national media. This is starting to change in the last few days and folks like @whstancil.bsky.social are helping with that.

Acting like he’s chasing clout by posting accurately and doing activism is fucked up

I have growing contempt for faux leftists more concerned with “owning” you than actually engaging with the reality that an American city is being occupied by fascist thugs.

This is the time for solidarity. Us in the twin cities get this. A lot of folks online really don’t.

It has been uncharacteristically warm in the cities since last week, hence all the videos of ICE officers falling—usually it stays below freezing so it was atypical to have so much melt and refreeze.

When it hits -6F, I’m interested to see how they fare compared to the average Minnesotan

To be fair this is how the GOP operates. I think centrists are engaged in wishful thinking that the Dem coalition would operate like the GOP and the GOP would have as much good faith as they do

I was alive and closely following politics at this time.

He literally changed his publicly stated views. It’s a thing politicians do all the time. It’s ok to admit it. I’d encourage you to watch the video I shared above.

I don’t hate Pete but it’s important to be honest about these things.

I don't think that's true. It *might* be fair to say that he was one of several candidates who went left in late 2019 and then pushed back towards the center in 2020

Buttigieg hate is a holdover from the 2020 primary, where he campaigned super hard to the left and then aggressively tacked to the center in the course of a single campaign cycle. I get the sense a bunch of lefties felt hoodwinked, and nurse the grudge.

Stancil hate is psycho shit, though.

As a Wolves fan, I’m very excited to see him get real run after being stuck in a deep bench role on a contender where any small mistake would cost him a lot
