After a few bumps for emergency cases, our little boy was eventually delivered late yesterday! Both Mom and baby are doing well, and he will be enjoying his first UGA game in L&D!

We submitted to the Society of Hospital Medicine annual conference held in Vegas this year… I missed San Diego last year because of The Masters commitments, now may have to convince my wife to let me go to Vegas while she has a new 4 month old at home… hmmmm

Residents (and attendings) do not rush through a note. A consult service on exam said 3+ edema and anasarcic, in their A/P said appears euvolemic give fluids. The exam was new, the plan was copied from old note and now didn’t make any sense. The copy button isn’t a free pass on thinking.

Yet another study demonstrating the power of exercise (yoga this time) with decreased low back pain score and need for meds. You can’t simply tell the patient “go do yoga,” you have to approach it by painting a less pain, less med need future.
Great new study on the effectiveness of virtual yoga for back pain: www.npr.org/sections/sho...
