I live my life 100 days at a time. Follow me here to find out what that means.
Days 96 and 97 of #100DaysOfCode

Was able to make stickers scale with the canvas when the screen is resized. I also gave the canvas a min-width that way it doesn't get so microscopically small. Here's a before and after video.

Day 91 of #100DaysOfCode

I added a tool bar with arrow controls for easy sticker movement on mobile devices.

Day 84-86 of #100DaysOfCode

Haven't posted the last couple of days but here is what I was working on. I added arrow buttons for scrolling through stickers on a mobile device. Tomorrow I will look into getting sticker placement, sizing, and rotation working again.

Day 83 of #100DaysOfCode

Got most of the site layout to be responsive. Need to re-add the background image gallery but I might want to change how they are displayed. I also want to add some arrows for scrolling through stickers and backgrounds on mobile devices.

Days 74 and 75 of #100DaysOfCode

Got sticker placement and movement working with touch inputs on mobile devices. Planning to continue down the path of mobile support since it doesn't seem as difficult as I imagined it would be.

Forgot to attach the video. Here it is.

Originally I tried resizing stickers by clicking a handle at the corner of a sticker, however this didn't play nicely with rotated stickers as you can see in the video. I have to forego freeform resizing by abandoning this, but I'm okay with that. Using the wheel is smoother and less complicated.

Day 71 of #100DaysOfCode

Finished sticker resizing. Here's a video. I'm using the scroll wheel to expand or shrink the sticker. This was the best way to get it to work with rotated stickers.

I still didn't want to do the extra math, but I found a work around. Right before a rotated sticker is moved, I make a temporary invisible clone of it with rotation set to 0 then get the X,Y coordinates of the clone to use as the anchor point when moving the rotated sticker (version 3/4)

Here's my first attempt at rotating stickers placed by the user. Notice how after rotation, when selected again, the outline isn't rotated with the sticker. This is because I didn't want to rotate the parent div of a sticker to avoid doing more math when a rotated sticker was moved (version 2/4)

Also here's a look at the evolution of sticker rotating. This first attempt was with a sticker that hadn't been placed on the scene dynamically. I just wanted to see what I needed to do to get stickers to rotate without worrying about integrating it with the rest of my code (version 1/4)

Day 68 of #100DaysOfCode

Here's a long overdue video of sticker rotation. I'm happy with the way it's come out! Today I optimized the rotation code. I also added key inputs for de-selecting and deleting stickers. Going to start working on scaling stickers just wanted to get this posted.

💻 Day 62 of #100DaysOfCode

Worked on being able to rotate stickers today. However, what I currently have is incompatible with the rest of my code. I need to refactor things to get it working properly with all stickers.

💻 Days 61 of #100DaysOfCode

Today I worked on displaying a border around the last sticker the user interacted with. I'll use this border for things like resizing and rotating stickers.

💻 Days 59 and 60 of #100DaysOfCode

Just realized I forgot to post yesterday. Have been working on being able to move stickers once they've been placed on the scene. Tomorrow I'm going to try to look into allowing stickers to be rotated.

💻 Day 57 of #100DaysOfCode

Maybe now that I'm done with my class, I can get back to focusing on my personal projects. Here's a look at the latest project I've been working on. I call it Stickerbook! You create a scene by dragging "stickers" onto a background image.

💻 Day 43 of #100DaysOfCode

About to start coding right now but here's a video of what I've been working on. You can now change the embedded youtube video. Youtube embed code and video links are accepted. Tonight I will save the embedded youtube video to web storage and try to get some homework done

💻 Day 37 of #100DaysOfCode

More Server Side homework today. It was quite stressful, but I'm now able to filter data based on search form submission! I also formatted the data output as a table so it looks nicer.

💻 Day 35 of #100DaysOfCode

Worked on being able to delete posts today. Recorded a video to show current state of things.
May 20, 2025 at 6:28 AM
💻 Day 30 of #100DaysOfCode

Still taking a break from my regular project progress to work on homework. Added some pages to my team's website. Server isn't connected yet, just working on page layout and navigation for now.
May 15, 2025 at 7:12 AM
💻 Day 28 of #100DaysOfCode

Worked on form validation for creating a new to do task. I'm using a bootstrap modal to alert users if their form submission is missing a component.
May 13, 2025 at 6:35 AM
💻 Day 27 of #100DaysOfCode

Made a bootstrap modal to warn users when they're using a browser that doesn't support web workers.
May 12, 2025 at 6:57 AM
💻 Day 25 of #100DaysOfCode

1/4th of the way though the challenge!

• Implemented desktop notifications
• Created a class for to do list items
