By the time the reveal happens, I was locked in, and the climax is a solid few minutes of tension. All of the principal cast turn in good performances, and I appreciation the scathing social commentary in the script.

This move is a pretty uneven watch imo. The different sections kind of play to different genres almost, and while it does a good job of building tension and dread throughout, I personally think it drops the ball on the tropes it’s juggling more than once.

Gonna keep any in-depth thoughts to myself, since it’s so new. Never read the book, though I know there’s been a few sequels. Never looked interesting to me as a book, so I passed on it. Fans of the book: how do you feel about this film?
