100%. Even though modders are usually restricted by hardware limitations, having no hierarchical restrictions allows for such to occur.

It always bugs me whenever I see stuff like "how come modders can do this but professional devs can't"

the answer is just modders have essentially infinite time they can devote to one thing, and zero corporate bureaucracy to go through

Finally got my walkman working again, after tinkerin with the motor and replacing the belt.
