I see your top films of 2025 and raise you scripted TV shows. Too many gems to choose from this year, but it’s definitely refreshing to have a year with more comedies. The Studio belongs on there as well.

Not AI. Real Irish Christmas footage from Goughie’s Coffee/ Sophie’s Sauna in Ireland. That’s Sophie herself.

Found this at Lidl today if anyone’s looking for a place for their human pets to sleep.

1,000-year-old archaeological site beneath the floor in the Dublin Lidl. No plaque. No sign. Just there next to the Taytos and toilet paper.

It’s great to feel a little hope again. Well done, New York.

Funniest cameo I’ve seen in a while, and it turns out the cameo actor, Jared, isn’t the typical Second City or Groundlings alum cameo actor. He’s the actual co-proprietor of the suit store in West Chester, and he had zero previous acting experience. Well done, Jared. #chaircompany

Martin McDonagh’s The Pillowman was perfect. So twisted and darky humorous. Loved every minute of it. Absolutely try to see if if you’re in Dublin.

Can’t think of any other movie that made me both audibly scream and laugh out loud in a theatre.

Was so fortunate to see @rosie.com in Dublin! I looked up to her as a kid watching her talk show after school, and I look up to her now as she wears her heart on her sleeve despite hideous words from ... that guy.

It was such a heart-warming, powerful show. I highly recommend seeing it at Fringe!

The Decline of Western Civilization II (1988). Hilarious documentary on heavy metal culture brilliantly directed by Penelope Spheeris. (Yes, the viral video of Ozzy’s orange juice pour led me to watch this.)

This compilation on @jimmykimmel.com ‘s show had me tearing up. People who once dreamed of coming to America for a better life are now avoiding our country out of fear, and it’s a disgrace.

Keep doing what you’re doing Jimmy, Stephen, and Rosie. #resistfascism#speakout

After The Fox (1966) directed by Vittorio De Sica. An underrated classic.

Like many women artists of her era, Connie Francis had a painful story behind her wholesome smile. She used her tragedy to campaign for mental health for abuse victims, and she’ll be forever immortalized with her work and her beautiful voice. R.I.P. icon.

Seeing this gorgeous film for the first time in a packed theatre was such a treat. Highly recommend seeing the 25th anniversary 4k release of In The Mod For Love if you love great cinema.
