The Surprising Depth Of Modern AI
It's no secret that I like A.I. and this isn't the first article I've written about it.I've always been particularly fascinated by chat bots, ever since their early days when there was lively debate over whether a chat bot would ever be able to pass the Turing Test. Most were convinced that it could never happen. Afterall, even the biggest developments at the time were painfully obvious that there was no human at the other end.

Finally getting round to creating some article "shorts" - basically simplified versions of the articles and deductive arguments with links to the longer article, for those that just want the answers or want a taste before deciding if they want to read the justification.

Introduction What does it mean to be you? Are you always the same you? How do you know you are you? Can anyone else be you? Understanding the nuances between identity and identifiers is crucial in comprehending the intricacies of human existence. While identity constitutes the core essence of an individual, identifiers serve as the external manifestations used to distinguish and categorize individuals within society.

Science is built on philosophical principles, but you don't need to have a working knowledge of philosophy to do good science any more than you need to understand how roads are built to follow directions, or understand combustion engines to drive a car

Merry Christmas, everyone.

And not to exclude others, a little late/early but happy Hanukkah, solstice, Kwanzaa, Newtonmas, and anything else you may be celebrating today.

Hope your day is filled with love and joy x.

Totally get that, or that I am assigning blame elsewhere.

No, I am telling you the series of events that led to why this thing happened..

I am not blaming x for what I did/didn't do...
Nor am I excusing myself.
X was one of the causal factors
I still own it, but you asked what led me there.

New Feature Ideas - Byte Sized Articles.

Miniature versions of our more lengthy articles with just the key points.

Some people are not so interested in the detail so I figured shorter versions might make them more accessible
