The line is about as near a Lego TF offering as you can get while still having tradition TFs that function as solid action figures.

Give itself a bit of a shot in the arm and a new interaction pattern that reminds me of why these are *fun*. Otherwise they just keep feeling like bad value propositions next to this year's kids' lines or properly high-end TFs if that's your thing

Even what Timelines is doing is much more enjoyable

I've seen some say that AotP is doing something new, at least, but it really isn't, outside of its title characters, and not even w/ most of them—not even on the level of, say, the Armorizers, which I gleefully bought up. Just need to see the Gen side of TF iterate as is usually the brand's wont

Maybe this is unfair, but at least I'm not alone in feeling this way (per a source of... delightful TRDQ videos and nothing else). There's only so long you can be entertained by a line of highly articulated, slightly fiddly dollies with somewhat cumbersome transformations that all do the same thing
