Looking forward to them one day being connected to heat pumps in the plant rooms instead of the current gas boilers. And understand the council’s current plan for Dorothy Stringer is to replace the existing oil boilers with gas. Nevertheless, a big and very welcome step in the right direction!

Done, a couple of my dad’s were in there and his estate will take action.

Nothing out of the ordinary here in Brighton.

The kids at your local Ultimate club would love some of it, I’m sure, especially if you drop by to tell a selection of the stories behind the stuff. My ten year old’s favorite discs are from adult tournaments he never played in but has heard tales of.

A boat big enough for all of you will need to be crewed unless a bunch of you are experienced. Just a licensed skipper won’t be enough to work it. If you have a crew you’ll be fine.

When I toured the memorial two years ago, two French people had joined our English-language group, as we had space. I interpeted for them and was amazed to learn they had been taught nothing of the Vel d’hiv roundup at school. A strong reminder of the importance of sharing this terrible history.

Where’s my “Pagan Science” t-shirt?

Hi Tom, I’m part of a citizen science initiative in Brighton & Hove. Do you have regular testing in Christchurch now?

Yeah, Newsom is privileged and has made some poor choices. But JB said, we need to stick together. I’m not sure divisive memes help, especially when they unfairly overlook huge steps like taking on Bush with same-sex weddings in SF under Newsom’s leadership.

The band was part of the official sports entertainment and they mostly roamed the East side. The kids enjoyed it, mind, and at least they didn’t play during play on the field. Generally feel the livening up of the matchday experience has been good. Ref link definitely a good addition.

Is it not already a thing? I have two Claras for my boys. Big fans.

Take it from someone who works in comms - it's a universal truth that whatever the subject matter, moderate stories with lots of nuance aren't super interesting for news media focused predominantly on audience metrics.

Still galls me that developer were allowed to get away with putting gas boiler into major projects on the basis that they were readily convertible to hydrogen. So glad that’s behind us.

Adbusters has been trying Buy Nothing Day for years. Good news hook, but hasn't worked so well.

Not in the least bit surprised. It's a reflection of the effort she puts into it, too. At the Olympic closing in Paris, she was constantly making content and the only athlete going to the touchlines when fans shouted asking for selfies. Others saw it as mainly party, she saw mainly opportunity.

Love to see it. So much scope for reduction in the education sector. My son’s 3,600 child secondary school in Brighton has oil-fired boilers!

Lovely spot for a walk. I convinced my boys that wizards live in the clocktower and enter / exit at night through the little door.

He’s 13 and off with his mates for adventures like this, locking in some great core memories!

My son took this from the end of the pier yesterday afternoon, to bookend a lovely Brighton afternoon. We’re quite blessed, aren’t we?

Wasn’t it lovely? Hope you enjoyed last night’s sunset too. Gorgeous from Hollingbury golf course.

Good evening from Stanford Avenue where a lovely one just crossed on its way home to Blaker’s Park with a stare but ran before I could take a picture.
