Today at 15:00 CET marks the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. When I visited, some English people came along with our Francophone group. I translated the guide’s descriptions for them. Helping tell the stories was so difficult. But we have to. @auschwitzmemorial.bsky.social

The Lake District at 700 metres yesterday, from the Scafell massif to Buttermere. The clouds are lovely of course, but the absence of snow in late December is troubling. Let’s please stop calling in “unseasonally mild” as we round out our hottest year ever.
