It's been practically a decade since the last entry to Digimon Story, 7 if you want to count Hackers Memory and we've been graced with yet another one.
I absolutely loved those two entries to death, so how does Time Stranger fare by comparison?

Pitching this show as Bocchi on magical school shenanigans is a bit underselling it when the primary appeal of this show is Monica failgirling her way to success alongside the power of math.

When I had my Dark Souls bug all those years ago and heard there was a metroidvania that captured what I liked from souls games to a certain extent I thought, "Sure, I'll give it a try" only to realize I'm shit at platformers, lagged like hell and dropped it.

This is entirely from the perspective of someone who wasn't forced to read the source material for a summer book report and had little to no idea of the original anime's impact during its time. I was more of the type to submit a report on Captain Underpants anyway.

What do I say about this show that hasn't already been said? It's crass, impressive, vulgar, inspiring and filled with uniquely individual visions. It picks up the mantle it left long ago and grew even more ridiculous as time went on.

I want Amaori Renako tied to a table and thrown knives at. I want her in a bronze bull. I need to see her dragged across the gates of Troy on chariot. She needs to be put in a sarcophagus, diced and scattered throughout Egypt

S1 is like a constant barrage of ice buckets thrown at you, S2 is where you've gotten really used to it. my liver did not suffer as much as last time but I enjoyed it anyway
I give it 30 lite beers out of how many scumbag chs S3 will have

For something I initially picked on a whim, I totally wasn't expecting what would've a genuine top shelf seasonal had I caught it when it was airing. It's a show that doesn't hold itself back on account of the audience but goes full force on what it wants to show

I picked this one up cuz it fit a lot of criteria for the sort of stuff I watch in my more casual lane and boy did it not disappoint. It's a show that extols the incredible virtue and moral lesson of,
"If everyone's stupid, then everyone's a genius."

When esteemed studio david pro says they're making their first original anime, you tend to get a few ideas on how it could go, maybe one or two expectations.
Onmyo did absolutely none of that and fried my brain in the process.

Wild that I started watching this show right after I finished Mayonaka Punch and boy were these entirely different shows. For one, it's primarily a death game set to the aesthetic of Lovecraft and even then it's pretty by the books

There was a noticeable gap between my viewings of both seasons and I only have myself to blame for that but with that aside. This was definitely one of the more engaging shows I've had in a good while.

After Reiwa Rider's ups and downs, I was admittedly one of the few to believe that the next series to reach the heights of Heisei would either be quite distant or just never. Little did I know it was right around the corner and in the shape of a jellybean.

Weird Al was in it. That's all I wanted.
I give it 10 rubber chickens out of every silly wordplay based joke in the movie

After Road to the Top, I thought I was prepared to see what Cygames with a theatrical budget looked like. Maybe a bit of the tv series and the intensity of the ONA into a single piece but no, it was much more than that.

While not reaching the high highs of the last season, it still manages to maintain the series overall momentum while delivering yet another fascinating and compelling story through the lens of horse girls.

Bit of a change in pace compared to the last two seasons, no doubt connected to the fact this was primarily an ONA (I watched the movie edit) but it does continue Uma Musume's bespectacled streak.

a.k.a. The Ballad of Tokai Teio
It's Round 2 with the most absurdist sports anime yet the stakes keep getting higher and the tensions keep rising. Season 1 was already a good enough opener to the franchise, Season 2 is here to make sure you STAY.

It is infinitely funny how I managed to finish this game before Nocturne but such is the nature of the beast. Genuinely thought I swore off Atlus RPGs after Reload but yknow, Lucifer works harder.

Technically still part of S1 but it has enough scenes apart from the core cast to really work with the rest of the expanded cast. Hell, I'm pretty sure they even added a few more characters while I wasn't looking.

7 years I've avoided this like the plague but even a mountain can become a pebble after for so long. So imagine the absolute fresh horror on my face as I'm realizing halfway through this show that "Oh god, am I actually having fun?".

It's been a while since I experienced Shamiko and her musclebrained gf's antics and seeing as I hadn't actually finished the show I figured I might as well. It being a 4koma adaptation already gave me an idea on how it's paced but I was not ready for this

If I had a peso for every time I watched a hero movie about an injured alien crashing to earth, rediscovering/reinforcing their love and faith in the ones they've sworn to protect in a plot that's structured akin to an anthology series, I'd have two pesos.

A show whose entire moral is that classified military intelligence is only worth its weight in calories, friendship and happiness.
A stupid fun show that doesn't take itself seriously but takes the ball and eats it anyway

What happens when undead, soulless and bloodsucking creatures come face to face with vampires? A whole lot of ad revenue.
Who would've guessed this would be the second show I watch this year covering Japanese internet culture?
