Mostly unremarkable.
Agree. I mean, I can see why they rejigged the series after Die Another Day, but turning it into a partial copy of one of the other contemporary spy action series like Bourne – in the longer term that definitely was a bad idea.

(Slight tangent, I remember Treats ice cream being as common as Walls or Lyons Maid, particularly in smaller shops and newsagents. That’s another small brand which seems to have vanished.)

That brand (Panda) was absolutely ubiquitous, wasn’t it? You were more like to find it knocking around than official Coke or Pepsi outside big supermarkets and vending machines at railway stations.

I knew Walkers mostly as the brand you’d find in wholesalers, which had the standardised green/c&o and blue/s&v colours oddly reversed.

(Don’t think we ever had Tudor crisps.)

I occasionally bore people younger than I by telling them about how Walkers wasn’t really a prominent brand round here (TVS land) until 1992, 1993ish. Golden Wonder and Smiths were the big two.

Odds on for the first sitting Labour MP to defect to Reform.

Bloody hate it when local businesses do that. Not just on social media either: Never used any shops and businesses near me which put up Leave posters, indulged in Covid denial, any of that stuff.

Telling that the Health section of that policy report advocates replacing the NHS with health insurance. Which of course would be popular when people’s insurance premium raises each year due to age risk factors increasing. 🙄

(Defund so-called think-tanks, that’s my suggestion to improve society...)

Thanks! Avoided any side effects so far, other than my arm is… Well, I can’t lift it very high. And it aches ridiculously.

(Better than the alternative, I guess!)

Bloody glad that my multi-hour mega-appointment tomorrow is going to be remote, given this time of year.

The chilling thing to contemplate that the current incarnation of Labour could advocate exactly the same barbaric policy, and probably would if they considered it electorally effective to.

They were always going to call for mass deportations once Brexit happened. That was the whole point of the exercise for the majority of Brexit supporters. Guess it’s mask off time.

One of the thumbnails I saw had “SCAM” placed in large letters – always a clear sign of terrible YouTube content, whatever the channel or topic.
