How it started Vs How it's going. My tbr list after about 6 months. I know it looks like no progress has been made, but I have read quite a bit, I swear!

Is anyone else fighting back their tbr list? Any recommendations for where I should start?

Currently looking after this furry slinky. I'm told this a-liquid-yet-somehow-gets-everywhere creature is a cat, but I have my doubts.

Just finished Shadow Thieves by Peterbl Burns. What a treat of a book! This has everything you would want in a great MG - a secret, mysterious school, a fascinating world full of intigue, twisty turny adventure, and a brave but kind protagonist at its heart.

Thank you @catherineby.bsky.social for a stunning copy of Where The Light Is Hottest!

Natasha Jones has everything - a successful acting career, an Oscar and a wonderful family - but the road to success is paved with setbacks and heartache. A tale of ambition, preservation, and hope.

TIL: the Turritopsis dohrnii AKA Immortal Jellyfish is the only species we know of that is biologically immortal. While it can die from disease or predators, it is able to return to its younger polyps form. Nature is cool!

A thousand congratulations to Jonathan Stroud on the launch of The Legendary Scarlett & Browne!

A thrilling conclusion to the Scarlett & Browne series! It will be sad to say goodbye to their gunslinging adventures. May their gallant deeds be told in dingy taverns forevermore.

Watched Look Back over the weekend and was surprised how much I cried. It's a short 50ish minute movie about art - the power of it to inspire others, the obsessive drive to improve, and how it helps us process grief. If you have an hour to spare, I highly recommend it!

Happy 2025 everyone! What are you reading? My first book of the new year is What You Are Looking For Is In The Library by Michiko Aoyama. A must for every librarian!

This is Immortal Rain. This is also one of my most beloved book series in the world. It has gotten me through some truly horrific times. I can't describe what it was about the series resonated with me so much, but these books were where I sought comfort every time.
