I want to see the light come back in the eyes of my students. More than that, I want to be part of the reason that light comes back. I want them to know that we are fighting for them. I want them to know that we are going to overcome the darkness.

The Future Should Be Full Of Dreams
I have been feeling the pull of darkness recently. So I decided to try and make my own light.

Some good news for Minnesota. The DFL has been boycotting the session to keep the GOP from snatching control of what will more than likely be a tied House. They played hardball and it paid off:

County and stare governments also collect and disseminate information. The European version of the CDC is available to us.
Additionally:
Wash your food. Wash your hands. Wear a mask if you feel sick or are exposed to illness. Cover coughs and sneezes.
Oh, thank goodness, the guy who took care of COVID is in charge. And pay no attention to his telling health agencies - CDC, FDA, NIH - to stop informing the public. www.axios.com/2025/01/22/v...
Virus season roars back with "quad-demic" of illness
The simultaneous threats are straining some hospitals to capacity and leading administrators to recommend masking among staff.

Continue to advocate for renewable energy. Fossil fuels in the US aren't high enough quality (or easily accessible enough) to be used here. Solar is more effective during the day, wind at night. Nuclear is a real option. So is geothermal.

WE ARE STILL IN THIS.
Wipe your tears.
This is the difficult business of hope and defying expectation.
We do not give up.
We run through the tape.

Y’all aren’t allowed to throw in the towel until I do. 😉

MAGA’s embrace of RFK Jr’s “Make America Healthy Again” is so funny because these same people CRUCIFIED Michelle Obama for daring to suggest that American kids should have access to healthy lunches in school.

Trump wants to cut the corporate tax rate to 15%. This would give...

-The 5 largest banks a $4.1B tax cut
-The 5 largest drug makers a $3.1B tax cut
-The 5 largest US oil companies a $2.5B tax cut
-The 5 largest grocery stores a $1.7B tax cut

Some populist, huh?
