If people want more left-leaning slant, the outlets will have more left-leaning slant.

If people want more right-leaning slant, the outlets will have more right-leaning slant.

Neither one is based on the political parties. It's from the people themselves.

Except the Democratic Party doesn't control what is reported by outlets.

If you want to blame someone for left-leaning slant, blame the audience.

If they didn't want left-leaning slant, the outlets wouldn't have left-leaning slant.

Same with right-leaning slant and outlets.

Blame the audience.

The Democratic Party does not own any media outlets.

You seem to have confused ownership and slant.

Slant is when a media outlet reports in a way that seems to favor one viewpoint over another.

Fox and NewsMax and ONN have right-leaning slant. That doesn't mean the Republican Party owns them.

Media. Noun. The Internet, newspapers, magazines, and television, considered as a group.

Source: Cambridge Dictionary ( dictionary.cambridge.org/us/dictionar... )

Fox News, ONN, and NewsMax are all part of the media.

Therefore Fox News and NewsMax and ONN are Democrats!

I KNEW IT ALL ALONG!!!

Sweet summer child, you set 'em up, I'll knock 'em down.

Law of large numbers says eventually you'll either fold, use an ad hominem (look it up), invoke Godwin's Law (look it up) or be convinced of what I say.

There's a difference between the Democrats and the media: Dems do stuff, Media tells us what they did.

Was there a Dems cover-up? Maybe.

The media wasn't in on it: they only reported what they knew.

Oh sweet summer child, sorry to tell you: Fox News and NewsMax and ONN are the media too...

I am American by birth, as is my entire family, starting with my grandparents.

We are all Democrats.

And we are all Jewish. My party isn't on the march; we aren't killing people; and none of us are Muslims (as in, we're not Islamic. You mean Islamist).

Unless the invite got lost in the mail?

Also, Islamic is to Islamist as Christian is to the KKK. A person of the Islamic faith (aka a Muslim) is like a person who is a Christian: both believe in a peaceful religion.

An Islamist, like a member of the KKK, defiles a peaceful religion by using it to justify terrorism.

First off, you are implying international terrorists belong to US political parties. Except ... The assailant is from Egypt. Egypt is not a part of the US. The Democratic party is a national organization. Please connect the dots on your own...

Antifa stands for Anti-Fascists.

Nazis were fascists.

Do you see the contradiction?

Also, the man in custody is not from the US. That makes this international terrorism, not domestic.

Video taken on the scene includes a morbidly obese, bearded man pointing and (apparently) angrily shouting on the scene with the suspect being handcuffed behind him.

Has there been any reporting as to what he was saying/shouting?

I'm hoping he was just trying to help...

This is like how my sister 'played' when Dad tried to teach her how to play when she was about 7:

*picks up a piece*

"I don't like this guy!"

*throws the piece across the room!*

I do know the feeling. I've been kept away from my writing due to pain for years on end -- 4 and counting. I wish I could tell you something advice-wise but that'd be me bullshitting a lie. Instead, I'm with you and cheering for you. Best I can do.

Just do. The feelings will find their way in as you go.

Forgot to mention dialup! I was stunned at the speed difference when we went from 800 Baud to 14.4, and stunned again when we got 28.8, and again when we got 56k.

Broadband (initially 1Mbps down, 500Kbps up) was through our cable TV company -- we had to buy the modem and sign up in-person.

I grew up back when AOL, Prodigy, and CompuServ were duking it out. It was all chatrooms: "asl" the second you joined one.

You bought your browser from a store, on disk.

AOL 3.5"'s -- before they were on CD.

Your search engine was a book: the Internet Yellow Pages.

THEN GeoCities and MySpace...

I see 'arg' and I get comp. sci. coursework flashbacks:

Linus: Why is Charlie Brown hitting his head against that tree?

Lucy: To loosen the bark so it will grow faster.

Not all of us can afford it or are healthy enough for care or are in a family situation that allows transitioning or are in a place where they can do so safety or have an in-person support network...

(( Spaceballs "YO!" on that quintet ))

...or (etc etc etc).

Thank goodness for the Internet!

I would say something like "If only life had a Mute button to stop them."

But that's not practical advice.

Instead?

Remember: it's your characters in your world because it's your story.

Everything else is just noise.
