My nephew was in pre-K camp and they had two toy phones next to a real one. They didn't supervise him properly because he picked up the real one, dialed 911, and said "I need the police. There are bad guys here."

Bad pain day. Been up since 1am. My pain meds might as well be breath mints on days like this. I'd hoped to play FFXIV today since life has had me unable to play since March 2023. Nope. I'd hoped to go to the local pool and walk some laps. Nope!l. I'd hoped to sketch for my book. Nope!

Any animal lover writers/artists out there who make their pets into characters in their work?
I'm always tempted to make my Yorkie puppy (Shayna) the new pet of the 2-3 protagonists I have in everything I write but I never do because I don't want another 'main' character who hijacks my plot.
