Horror movies, boardgames, craft beer, cocktails, video games, magic, and Korean stuff! He/him
I clicked an ad post on Facebook for Raw Milk because it was being sold proudly near me with a very wink wink "not for human consumption but... Ya know" tone - I was flabbergasted. Unfortunately the algorithm now thinks I need nothing but raw milk content and that I'm a nutjob.

Happy to be here with Darcy, Joe Bob, Gwar, and Shudder but dang... I really did not like Clown in a Cornfield. Sorry to hear that's the first flick :/ Incredibly boring. But I'm here for the Mutant Fam! #TDLI #TheLastDriveIn #Shudder #MutantFam

A vintage classic! I saw this as a little kid (in B/W on TV) & it always stuck with me as scary + hilarious! Well in my 30s now uh this is cute, quaint, vintage. Not overly funny & especially not scary. It's adapted loosely from an Andy Griffith ep & it feels like it! Lots of small town hijinks.

Just watched: Muppets Haunted Mansion (2021) - A little slight compared to other Muppet productions; but still a great fun Halloween time. It has a sweet little message. I wouldn't recommend it as the first Muppets flick by far, but I do recommend it

Woke up on Monday and honestly still can't believe the Panthers have a winning record 😭🥳

Just Watched: Wolf Creek (2005) - yikes this is vintage early 2000s sadistic terror. It's cruel & bleak. It's well made but not very recommendable. Nothing to latch on to. I'd rather watch House of a 1000 Corpses or, more similarly, Martyrs cuz they have a message. This is for exploitation fiends!

Thank God for Bernie & AOC. I wish we deserved & earned the America they think we could be.

I've felt like Reddit has gone downhill for ages; but partially suspected maybe I'm the one who has changed? Now I can unequivocally say it fucking sucks because of AI slop. Every top post is misleading AI! Huge waste of time to sift through it...

This was FUEGO! Very spooky! Similar to Noroi or Doc Q at times but almost (and I don't mean this as derogatorily as it seems) as if they were produced by Blumhouse. It also gave me Interstellar (thematically) but Evil. More folks would "get" this than say Noroi cuz "more happens". I recommend this!
Now watching: Incantation (2022) - I can already tell this is a good one!

It still slaps! Great fun movie! I found myself unintentionally watching Wesley Snipes the whole time & enjoying him! Obviously not checked out at all; a baggage I carried into my rewatch. The opening is the best! The rest of the movie is good & vry influential. This & Wick owe a lot to HK cinema!

Great! It's a ton of fun seeing Boris Karloff speak, emote, and enjoy himself so much! The plot is decent. Felt very cautionary tale and also like it was slightly brushing up against the nature of it being originally a short story (aka it sorta feels stretched) Looks very nice too! 👍

Just Watched: Memories (1995) - all three segments are phenomenally animated. The first one is the most poignant & "scary". The second the most goofy & perhaps a tad overlong. The third one the most bleak; very 1984-esque. Definitely worth watching!

Now watching: Clown in a Cornfield (2025) - I'm 30m in & I'm going to tell you rn that this is EXACTLY what you think it is. I feel like this was written in a script writing class & adapted from a template. It hits every comfortable beat you expect it to & it's made competently.

Why doesn't @shudder.com have Black Phone 1? I'm jonesing to watch it again because of all their promo for 2 on the site.... But it's not there? That's a little odd, right? Like if you're going to pay for promo on streamers also toss in the first flick?

I hate to say it, but I didn't enjoy this much at all :/ I felt like the plot was disjointed & very contrived at times. I forgot how supernatural it was and how quickly they ditch the ambiguity. It looks good! But I honestly didn't find it interesting. I found it frustrating and boring.
NW: Sleepy Hollow (1999) - a rewatch but it's been a very long time
