such a shame that academic publication, supposedly the guardian of knowledge production, is giving up what's at it's core - trustworthy, accurate, independent, verifiable knowledge - just so academics & publishers alike can get on the genai bandwagon

noting grimly that with the boating drone strikes we have definitively arrived at "how bad is extrajudicial killing, really?" but I continue to find it really strange that they did "children having cancer and communicable diseases is fine actually" first
I expected the hardliners in the early days of the administration to try to slow walk people from "why do we need to know about Harriet Tubman?" to "how bad is extrajudicial killing really?" but they have opened the bidding at "how bad is cancer really?"
