Whatever Trump accuses the Dems about, look at what he and his cronies are doing. It’s deflection. He has found the words that his base gets stirred up about and uses them often. Slash fraud, cut waste, stop the abuse of the systems. He and Musk are the fraud, waste and abuse we need to be rid of.

It took seeing adult bullies to understand that my childhood bullies didn’t even really want to hurt me, they just wanted to feel powerful and how I felt about it wasn’t even in the equation.

I can’t imagine someone not outgrowing that, but apparently it happens quite a lot!

It’s horrifying that it’s come to this, but as someone with a deep affinity for Europe I feel moved seeing that continent come together to try to save itself in the absence of any meaningful aid from the totalitarian regime that’s in the midst of taking over the United States through an illegal coup

I'm struggling to get over what we saw today.

The amount of gaslighting, cruelty, ignorance, abject cowardice, arrogance, indifference to human life, and deceit we saw from Trump and Vance...we saw behavior we associate with enemies of the United States inside the Oval Office.

That's traumatizing.

America is a global joke now.

Except for those instances in which it is a global danger.

I mourn the country we had in 2014. It was profoundly imperfect, but far better than this and is never coming back.

The richest man in the world calls people who get help from government programs the “parasite class.”

But Medicaid’s beneficiaries aren’t parasites. Half of them are children.

If we’re talking about people who depend on government, Elon Musk is the biggest “parasite” of all.

This was a disgusting display by the soft, uninformed VP Vance trying to school Zelensky, the man who has led his country through the most surprisingly resilient and effective fight for sovereignty against a global superpower.

Every negative stereotype about America is confirmed in this exchange.

America has not always lived up to its ideals as a nation, particularly with foreign policy. We must be honest about that.

This moment from both Trump and Vance was reprehensible and yet another move to support global autocracy.

We must continue to push for a higher standard from our leaders.
