A beautiful sunrise on my run this morning, reflected in the lake.
Sunrise sky with streaks of gold, lilac, blue, & grey, reflected in the perfectly still lake surface. Dark silhouettes of trees and bushes edge the far side of the lake and a fishing peg is just visible in the foreground.

You can stay in the rather lovely Seaham Hall where he married Anne Isabella Milbanke & fathered Ada Lovelace. Five stars, would recommend.

A handful.of sweet chestnuts A massive pile of sloes - blue & powery and black and shiny Clusters of yellow & brown mushrooms growing no an old mossy log. No idea what they are, no intention of eating them. Some brownish mushrooms with creamy gills, growing on fallen oak branches. Still ko idea so not risking them.

Move hay field in early morning light, Lancashire. A patchwork of green Cheshire fields, bordered by hedges and dry stone walls, rolling away into the distance under a sky of Macclesfield grey. Bright & beautiful Yorkshire fields, stretching away up the hill under a blue sky with fluffy white clouds. Welsh fields in late evening, golden sun.
