Tour guide in Scotland with Mary's Meanders tours. Outlander fan. Ancestry, Mary Queen of Scots and general history areas of special interest. When not touring, love going to Musicals.
Fabulous work. Thank you for all your efforts
As #Outlander returns for the rest of Season 7, what better than to share a pic of working behind the scenes as #Gaelic consultant in seasons 6, 7 and 8. #Outlander has been a great showcase for the Gaelic language, culture and music. All thanks to #DianaGabaldon

Rewatching #Outlander 7a before 7b hits our screens in the UK in Saturday. Always gives me a thrill to see Lallybroch having worked at Midhope Castle this Summer

If you are coming to Glasgow you should really make time to visit the Govan Stones in Govan Old Church- a wonderful collection of 31 medieval carved stones.
Dr. Tom Horne, @hornesupremacy.bsky.social, *really* likes to make videos of our Viking-Age carved stones from the early medieval kingdom of the Strathclyde Britons, like this one of the Govan Sarcophagus, thought to have held the saintly remains of Causantín mac Cináeda, killed by Vikings in 876.

Govan Irish Club, Victoria St. Govan c 1910. My Great Grandpa & Grandma (Jack from Co. Mayo and Mary, from Govan) ran the club. Have been looking for more information on the Club on T/X but not had much luck - wonder if anyone on Bluesky land can help? Repost also appreciated?

I was an early adopter of Twitter and loved it for many years. Where did it all go so horribly wrong? This feels more like " the old days" and hope it keeps that way. Look forward to sharing my love of Scotland
