Clear right from the go that NATO was a pretend reason. But it isn’t possible to see clearly with blinders on. Why the blinders are on at all, especially for those who have studied international relations/ politics, is an interesting question.

Great read. Highlights an important and rarely acknowledged variable in resolving problems. False oppositions are created/constructed by us. They become artificial blockades preventing forward movement. Not always resolved by pinning blame on those perceived as benefiting.

My thoughts exactly! Russia's origin myths need to be obliterated on grounds of false representation of history. No reason not to further downsize russia. Perhaps extend Karelia. Or make it part of Finland bc Moskva originally inhabited by Finns.

Pollinators, migratory birds, other insects are being as severely impacted as plants by warm creeping northward. They've been able to rely on food sources being available when they need them. Changes happening more rapidly means less time to adapt. Consequence? Populations decline.

Many bought into this right at start of invasion . Taking Putin at his word that NATO was reason. Not knowing enough to question it then. Not later educating themselves enough to even question it. Not seeing MSM question it either was enabling. Ignorance is as disabling as illiteracy.

Baltics have been NATO for years. And now Scandinavian countries too. Ru simply has no grounds for opposing same status for UKR on grounds of security. Frivolous argument.

Read very detailed article on CBC late last evening. Cited Bessent declaring all Canada tariffs being called off. Bessent's rationale? Tariffs are bad for US. Deal included Canada going ahead with digital tax. But that article now pulled from CBC website. Bessent is likely target of trump fury today
