The current feckless leadership of the Democratic Party has radicalized me. Abolish ICE, pack the courts, primary everyone. If they’re doing their job, they prevail. If not, oh well. And TERFs can piss off.
How much do you think the person who drives to the store, shops your order and delivers to your house is paid? It’s not much, much less than minimum wage. For time and effort, yes, your tip needs to be in the 15% or higher range. Here is a current example of pay. This was a 20% tip btw.

I make this point a lot about Medicaid. Mostly blue states in the lower federal tier. bsky.app/profile/anne...

“Blue states…abused Medicaid”. Huh, let’s check those numbers. Nope, another (mostly) blue states subsidizing red states situation. And look where Louisiana ranks. www.kff.org/medicaid/sta...

See below: click on the link or the tile - that will take you to the curated list. Tap the subscribe at the top. It will give you the option to block or mute. After you tap, the accounts will all be blocked. I know, it’s counterintuitive.

Of the ten cats I have had, only two were an absolute no on belly rubs. Felix loves it and I find it very therapeutic.

I approach certain people this way. Usually it is on an individual basis, but it applies to certain groups, as well.

Just for contrast, on my Discover feed, two recent deaths are trending. Which would we all rather be?

Felix has been doing this for over a decade. A couple of the other cats copy him, but he is the king of the dangle in this house.

They want to protect their “right” to offer crap like this. This is a two hour job. It’s not an outlier, pay starts at $4 and averages $7-10 for a few items to 100’s of items. But tips are not taxable anymore! /s

And for dessert. Hopefully they won’t kill you alone or in combination.

Beats the greeting I get when I come home (he does this to everyone who gets within a few feet of the window)

May I introduce you to the section of I-95, a purportedly north/south route, which runs pretty distinctly east/west in New Haven, Connecticut area.

Cats and sinks. It’s universal.

Left the clamshell container out while I ate my dinner. Felix jumped up on the counter, got it open and went to town. He is normally lazy, rarely goes on the counters, and doesn’t care much about people food. But he will kill for lettuce.

Also a certain “type”. This is the real estate investor who lowballed me for my mother’s house. I just wish the driveway had scraped something off. Or caused a complete collapse of the thing. Either/or.

I’ve been working on selling my mother’s house now that we are finally at that stage in the probate process. I’ve had to bring in multiple investors due to the condition of the house- just not a traditional sale. This guy pulls up in his customized cybertruck and lowballs by tens of thousands 🤬

And as a point of personal privilege living in Connecticut, I just want to mention that Medicaid is a 50-50 federal state split. As opposed to certain states in the south like, Mississippi, where it’s more like 75/25

I have one of those too! This is Felix and all his floof.
January 27, 2025 at 4:15 AM
He does! He’s a polydactyl. He came from a litter of six kittens. All four boys were orange and polydactyls. I have him and his brother Beaker. As well as their sister and mother who have “normal” feet.

Felix likes to sleep with legs stretched and hanging down. He likes to show off his shovels.

Still on my kenmore w/d bought in 2000. They have survived three moves and still work great. Little rust on the bottom, one piece that has to be rubber banded on the washer to cycle fully. Small price to pay. And they cost $800 for the pair 😊

Mine was a mini pac man arcade game. I played that for years. I blew through so many D batteries and drove my parents nuts with the music (no mute button). It was awesome. The game, not the crazy making.
