Wow, this is excellent. Here's a repost with alt text.

One of my favorite kinds of text messages to get. (I love Oregon's longstanding all-vote-by-mail system.)

I just slid my ballot into a drop box at my local Multnomah County Library. It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood. Nobody questioned my right to vote.

I note this in case it's the last time.

Thinking seriously about a stack of these bad boys. (Not glamorous unless you're a notebook nut like me.)

A small but lively protest on my local busy street corner in NE Portland this afternoon. Lots of engagement with people driving by.

Free breakfast from my overgrown backyard. (Grandma used to say that if you turned your back on Oregon for a few months, the whole place would be covered in blackberry vines.)

It feels a little...off...to actually enjoy something these days, let alone post about it, but...look at these zero-drop, wide-toe-box *custom made* shoes I got from a Turkish shop on Etsy.

I am enjoying them very much.

Bring back Accessory Commercial Units!

All up and down my NE Portland (OR) neighborhood are former storefronts that long ago got re-zoned as strictly residential. This is one of my faves (obv at Halloween time). It would be so cool if they were still little stores.
