So here's Pew's research on which news outlets are trusted by people who say they DO and DON'T trust major news organizations. I think this says a lot about how we got to where we are in the US, which is to say, in a cultural and information catastrophe.

In general, Republicans and Republican leaners are much less likely than Democrats to trust the information they get from national news organizations.

I think Gavin is 100% correct here, about an online culture creating profound loneliness...that is the connection I'm making in his remarks. Getting "hands-on" with people and off of social media is worth financial investment.

I think Gavin is 100% correct here, about an online culture creating profound loneliness...that is the connection I'm making in his remarks. Getting "hands-on" with people and off of social media is worth financial investment.
Why? gun permissiveness, limited economic prospects for a huge swath of our people, social media algorithms that promote rage, public education deficiencies, disproportionate political donations by corporations, tech influencers and the 1% millionaires and billionaires, and LIES left unchallenged.
