Scot now living in the Forest of Dean. Photography, cyanotype, handmade books, and a bit of quilting keep me sane. An old Westie and a young Bedlington terrier keep me fit.
Underneath the Arches. Multiple exposure taken underneath the Severn Bridge at the Severn Area Rescue Association HQ at Beachley.

Infrared doesn't work that well with multiple exposure as I have to shoot in jpeg and the light band is so narrow. However, never say never. I can see that there is a problem with the alignment of the 2 images and can only assume that I moved before making the second exposure.

Still playing around with infrared photographs taken last week at the Wye Valley Sculpture Garden. This one is a composite of two, The Moon Gazing Hare, below and The Way of the Bee. I like the way that infrared treats different materials differently.

Another two from the Wye Valley Sculpture Garden.

I’m not really one for photographing other people’s artwork but infrared gives me something completely different, not to mention a challenge. The Wye Valley Sculpture Garden summer exhibition is on until mid September and well worth a visit.

Another multiple exposure image from the Treetop Walkway at Westonbirt Arboretum bit this time with the ME setting at ‘light’. Same place, same subject, same process but different results, not sure which I prefer.

Some more multiple exposures, not so whacky this time.

Playing around with multiple exposure and whacky custom white balance. Reflecting the crazy world we live in.

@artquestlondon (IG) 30/30 challenge day 4. The original photo was taken on a cold morning on a workshop in Glencoe with @colinprior. A cyanotype was made from the image, which has been bleached and toned and woven back into the original photograph.

@artquestlondon (IG) #30/30challenge day3. The prompt was reuse, recycle, reclaim. Very apt for this one. Two cyanotypes on fabric with some fabric scraps woven in.

@artquestlondon (IG) #30/30 challenge day2. Yesterday’s bleach and toned cyanotype woven with another from the archive.

In a bid to kickstart my creativity I signed up for @artquestlondon (IG) #30/30 challenge making 30 artworks in 30 days. I miss a day I’m out. Day 1 is an old cyanotype, bleached and toned with green tea.

A couple of hours spent on Amroth Beach this afternoon playing around with ICM. Mainly overcast but with glimmers of light from time to time.

Beautiful morning on Amroth Beach

I was hoping to take some ICM photos of waves from Amroth beach but it was just too bright, so this one is looking along the beach instead.
