Relatively few Somali people in Minnesota are here on TPS. Most were either born here or came as refugees and are now citizens or green card holders. Others came as family members of people who had naturalized.

As an almost 70 white woman, my daughter asked what I would do if there were arrests. I told her I’m the kind of person who should get arrested and to make sure everyone knows. (Of course there were no arrests or violence. Just 7000 people at one end of Tom Emmer’s district.)

No death penalty in Minnesota. Death penalty would need to come from Federal charges.

He can be charged with 1st degree, but it has to come from a grand jury—not just a prosecutor. It will come.

Maybe nationally, but I’m in Minnesota and remain crushed.
