Hit my old neighborhood and my childhood favorite fishing spot last night and tonight, just at sunset. It did not disappoint! No BIG fish, but lots of them! Good times.

I found this in a used tackle box. It is one half of a saltwater fishing lure. However, we have no saltwater in Michigan. Besides, this is too cool to throw at fish! I am going to keep it as an office curiosity. :)

My latest acquisitions. These are amazing, like a mash-up of "Wind in the Willows," the "Redwall" books, "Lord of the Rings," and Dungeons and Dragons with a tiny bit of Game of Thrones sprinkled in there and beautiful artwork to boot! I actually learned of them here on Bluesky!

My dad just moved into MY dream rural property: a historic farmhouse and land with ample room for multiple people, dogs, cats, and chickens; a big garage; and an old pear tree, on a dirt road with nearby creeks and rivers and the amenities of larger towns close by. Lucky bugger. :D

Fished a fascinating new spot up north a few days ago. I am shocked that I never hooked anything larger. The deep pool below the dam and the old millpond above it looked like they should be full of lunkers. Oh well; it was a beautiful spot, and I did manage to catch a few different species.

Had to use the broom at home today. THIS little turd made that VERY difficult, playing with the broom and ROLLING IN the dust and debris I was TRYING to sweep up! He looked so cute while being a pest that I couldn't be mad, though. :D #lifewithcats #catsofbluesky

Found this Imperial Moth while walking to the bar after work tonight. Had to bend over the phone while taking this pic to keep it dry; it was pouring buckets. Poor moth. Poor me! I was a complete wet rat by the time I made it to the bar! :D
