Mine would probably be Moonlight Love and Witchcraft by Vaela Denarr and Micah Iannandrea. 140k words. Sweet and soft and queer. #AMoRaR

Hello all, I have begun fasting for Gaza. We have a report that about 14000 babies will be lost if aid is not let in in the next 24 hours, so we are trying to get this hashtag to do numbers to raise awareness and put people pressure to work to get aid in. #fastforgaza

Only a little more than a week left to make this book from the only Palestinian publisher in the US a best seller!

What if We Get it Right by Ayana Elizabeth Johnson 3.75⭐️, interviews between the author and many climate experts but also some weird choices, such as a nuclear guy and a genAI bro. Not as radical as I like my climate nonfiction. But there was a lot of info I didn't know, so learned from it.

Unbound by Tarana Burke, 5⭐️ although this one is hard to rate as a compelling memoir, extremely personal and well written, that was not enjoyable at all because the content was so harrowing. Highly recommend if you are okay with reading about CSA and child emotional abuse.

The Wild Wolf's Rejected Mate by Cate C. Wells, 5⭐️, I actually read all the books in this series in February but this was my fave. Sweet werewolves dealing with trauma and staving off toxic masculinity. Fated mates and biologically required mating still not my fave, but handled well here, imo.

Taming Kane, 3⭐️, I wasn't enjoying the possessiveness, which was addressed as something the MMC was working on in the text, but would be interested in books from this author that explore other tropes. Werewolves in Michigan, fated mates, interesting paranormal side characters (vampires/witches)

Team Player by Deanna Grey, 4.75⭐️, the captains of the women's and men's hockey teams at Mendell challenge each other to switch relationship styles (which includes sleeping with each other) while one of them deals with corruption at the school. Immediately drawn in by the writing and characters.

Indie game review thread:
The Long Dark, Survival Mode. I bought survival mode on sale to try it out before going for the story version, and 30 hours in I am loving it! I love a quiet apocalypse and survival games, and the atmosphere of this one is great. Hunting and gathering alone in the snow. 5⭐️

Cw: food
The only vegetarian dinner my parents don't fuss about (I insist on making them others anyway somtimes): black bean taquitos (onion, green bell pepper, garlic, salt and pepper, black beans, tortillas, some cheese for my parents' ones, get them crispy in the oven with a lot of oil)

Back in early January I made this. Wanted to make a mermaid with a belly like mine to make myself feel pretty.

The World Within by Dani Finn, 5⭐️, a transcendent woman opening a new, gigantic sex shop meets a delivery woman with a son (who I think is autistic) and sparks fly quickly. The kid is awesome, the MC and love interest are awesome, and I really enjoy the MC's friends. Spicy scenes to my taste, too!

Second Glance by A E Bennett, 4⭐️, a wheelchair user of the nobility falls for a disfigured-by-magic soldier in a world where queer relationships are illegal. Highly looking forward to the rest of the series, I think this is number 2. Love these characters! #booksky #romantasy

Let the indie romance review thread begin:
The Demon of the Wood by Willow Quinn, 5⭐️, about a Cinderella esque character who is rescued from SA by a demon who lives as a woods hermit. Helping each other heal and be their best selves. CUTE.

The Serviceberry: Abundance and Reciprocity in the Natural World by Robin Wall Kimmerer. 5⭐️ , short, sweet, informative, and healing. A great rest between darker non-fic reads. I want to live in the world Kimmerer describes, and this book gives me hope we can achieve it.

Arwen waited a day after I got back from dogsitting every night for a week but now she is once again my cuddle buddy.

I'm looking for artists who have coloring books out. My mom really enjoys coloring and has found a few books she likes, but is running out and would like to avoid the big zon. These are the sorts of pictures she likes, fantasy stuff without the tiny details common to some books.

I've finished A Strange and Stubborn Endurance, and I really loved it! It took me a long time to pick it up, partially because some of the trigger warnings made me nervous, but I was able to pretty much skip the scene in question and I think it dealt with the overall topic really well.

#queerprompts I really enjoy both giving and getting gifts when I and the other person know what to give - getting things for people who don't collect things or otherwise I can't think of anything for is stressful, but when I know they will like it it makes me happy.
