Quaker, timebanker, working towards zero waste and a happier community and environment in Aotearoa NZ.
Gradually migrating away from the metaverse…
Just in time for the next round of COP talks 🤦🏽‍♀️ it really shows that they couldn’t give a toss for the environment.

I hope you didn’t lose any more trees this time.

I was absolutely gobsmacked to discover there were Charlie Kirk memorial services in several towns and cities in Aotearoa NZ at the weekend, including here in Kaitāia 😳 but sadly the right wing evangelical churches are well entrenched here, so I probably shouldn’t be so surprised.

Has he worked his way through Rick Riordan & John Flanagan’s books? Those should keep him going for a week or two surely! William Horwood’s Duncton Woods books would slow him down somewhat, very much of the Watership Down genre

At that age I was reading The Wizard of Earthsea books by Ursula K Le Guin, and Susan Cooper’s The Dark is Rising sequence. Also anything by John Rowe Townsend, Geoffrey Trease, & Rosemary Sutcliffe - lots of historical fiction there

I was a voracious reader and got through a hefty chunk of Holmfirth Library as well as anything I could get my hands in at school. John Rowe Townsend would probably be next on my list. Lots more authors I read 5 books of too.
