Politician is the only job where you can just not show up to work, still be paid & keep your job. Top of the line health insurance also. The House & Senate both were in session less than 90 days since 8/1/25. If you or I did that we'd be fired in under a week.

As trump sent CA National Guard to Portland, am I correct that yesterday's court ruling prohibiting the deployment of the National Guard in Portland only applies to the Oregon National Guard? Can a judge issue an order applying to ALL National Guard or only the National Guard for a specific state?

Can anyone explain to me why all Senate Dems & all but 58 House Dems voted to honor Charlie Kirk? Not a peep from Congress when Dem state legislators were gunned down in their homes but a person who became wealthy from spreading lies & hate is worthy of commemoration?

My dog, BG, saved my life a few weeks ago. Seriously. I had a very rare reaction to chemotherapy one night & became unconscious on the floor. My girl went to the bedroom & started whining & 'nosing' my sleeping husband's arm until he woke up & found me. To BG. Not all heroes wear capes.

Not only are Rs lying about who was in the WH during the 2020 census - trump- they're also not mentioning that he stopped the count early. Any complaint that population counts were incorrect is on them & trump.

Usually on the day before Cinco De Mayo, restaurants & bars are advertising special meals & drinks for the next day. Not this year, at least not where I live. Anyone else noticing this in their area? Are we censoring ourselves?

Just read that ALL of the Dem co-sponsers of the impeachment bill pulled their support. And congressional Dems don't understand why their approval rating is in the toilet. Grow a pair Dems. Rs won't & if you don't at least appear to be standing up to trump, 26 will be worse for you.

trump told ABC that he could bring Mr Abrego Garcia back from CECOT with a phone call but won't despite SCOTUS ruling. Bondi said this am that no Adm member will be arrested by US Marshalls for ignoring court rulings. Isn't this a Constitutional crisis? Why is no one doing anything about this?

This is blood-boiling. Charles Rogers was awarded the Medal of Honor in Vietnam after being wounded three times leading the defense of a position.

We vote. We march. We call & write our Congresspeople. We tell Dems stand firm against the R criminal enterprise taking everything from working stiffs. And they ignore us & state CR support. It doesn't matter to them if you lose your job, your medical coverage, etc. Political theater while DC burns.

How is DOGE funded? Did Congress appropriate money to pay for this destruction of our govt? Or did trump "appropriate" funds Congress approved for other things? Also, why is it ok that these folks are living in govt office buildings & allegedly some have moved their family in also.

Today is International Womens' Day. It is also the day I read that the US govt is banning the use of the words "women & woman". Yes, those words are on the list of banned DEI words. Do we not exist anymore in the US?

While the rest of the world is observing International Womens' Day, the US govt, - musktrump - has listed 'woman & women' on a list of banned words. Freedom of speech was considered so crucial by our Founders that they enshrined it in the 1st Constitutional amendment & trump is destroying it.
