ObGyn, Mom and Ohio State Rep who believes in reproductive rights, health care reform, public education & facts.
Wednesday’s session was a manufactured lame duck as House Republicans tried to push through as many bad bills as possible in the middle of the night. There’s still time for us to fight back! Call your Senators and Gov. DeWine and let them know that this bills will hurt Ohioans.

The best part of being a legislator is meeting with students like the OSU Physical Therapy senior class. Rep. White and I learned about the different specialty areas within physical therapy.

Ensuring that everyone has the right to vote is the cornerstone of a functioning democracy. These dangerous bills will chip away at this fundamental right. Call your reps and tell them that if they believe in democracy, that they should vote no on these bills! #vote #democracy #votersuppression

Ohioans voted overwhelmingly to enshrine reproductive rights in our state constitution in 2023. Fighting to protect these rights is not only the constitutional thing to do, but it also the best thing to do to protect women’s health in Ohio.

Today, Mike Johnson will keep the House adjourned for the 94th day out of the last 106.

12 days of work in 106 days.

With full pay and benefits.

The senate has been working, so this is not about the shutdown.

It is about avoiding a vote to release the Epstein files.

Friendly reminder:
the folks taking food away from
42 million Americans are the same ones who illegally shutdown USAID and lit 1 million pounds of food on fire instead of feeding it to the world's hungriest people.

Weaponizing hunger is deplorable. The GOP owns this.

Two federal judges who care said the Trump administration MUST fund SNAP through the duration of the federal government shutdown. They understand that SNAP is a lifeline for millions of Americans. It could take a week or two for recipients to receive their benefits.

This week the House voted on two pieces of property tax-related legislation. I voted no on both bills because instead of the state paying its fair share for schools and local governments, these bills force these entities to cut down their already stretched budgets.

When Tish James walks into a courthouse tomorrow — the target of a political prosecution demanded by a President obsessed with revenge — she does not walk in alone.

New York has her back.

Grateful to Governor Hochul for bringing us together tonight.
