This issue with Davinci is one of the biggest blockers to switching, and the fact a few of the animation software I use are lacking Linux versions. If that gets resolved, I want to jump.

Early 00's Toei was truly an unbelievable time, because Hosoda would just do TV work and then get Yoshihiko Umakoshi at the height of his power, to animate one of the most whimsical cuts you've ever seen.

Actually some Japanese businesses with this issue have been adopting adults to take over their businesses so it stays family owned for generations. There are some that just shut down like the smallest bookstore in Tokyo is about to close this December 🥲
