When we throw out a whole sector of #travel like #voluntourism then we really throw out rich discussions and nuance. And isn't that what BlueSky is all about? .. discussions that is.

There are much better ways to volunteer while traveling, not all #voluntourism is negative. Consider #ConsentBasedTourism where every individual has free informed consent in every interaction. #Consent in travel shouldn't be revolutionary.

We see a lot of critical pieces about #voluntourism and we are here for it! Tourism really is historically rooted in racism and colonization. However, there are intentional and mindful programs that are doing voluntourism in trauma informed and decolonized ways! Let's talk about it!

New paper! Wildlife crossings are a win-win, protecting motorists and increasing wildlife resilience to climate change by reducing mortality and reconnecting habitats.
