So cool! Prince *loved* libraries. For example, this is one donation he made from his charity a few days after 9/11 to save the Louisville Free Public Library, the first library in the community to serve African Americans.

Since folks were (understandably) pretty upset, I offered to him that I'd get on a call and hear him out so he'd leave them alone. Instead, after texts like this, he got on a call and started screaming, well, basically the same thing. I explained that, no, I don't want any "free stuff"...

Kind of shocked that the usually-credible @memeorandum.com is repeating racist slurs from extremist media as if it were news in its summary, vs. a neutral summary along the lines of "the aunt Mamdani referred to is his father's cousin, not the other relative that right-wing conspiracists focused on"

I took this one 10 years ago on the way in to an event. We were running late, but I snuck a couple pics just because I wanted to capture that feeling a bit. It was President Obama’s birthday, so we surprised him by signing Happy Birthday at the beginning of the event before the actual program began.

Jessica Ramos? The "I'm gonna endorse the predator Cuomo even though he's not even going to give me the time of day" Ramos? Is gonna say Mamdani going on *hunger strike* to win hundreds of millions of dollars of relief for taxi drivers isn't working hard enough? Fuck you know about working?

We are losing something by having newsrooms where everyone who has more than a few years’ experience has gotten fired. I don’t fault a young writer for not knowing about things that happened before she was born. But now there are no editors to help give context to these stories, either.
