Percentage change should *always* be expressed on a log scale, because it’s multiplicative.

A doubling and a halving should be given equal space.

It was way more than "filling out a form" - took 16 months. BUT here we are! Starting in Oct 2023, we can start to document/track/study prone positioning in national databases. Thank you: @AllanWalkey @ScottManaker @NickABosch @atscommunity @accpchest @SCCM @aarc_tweets

(a) wrote about how an ICD-10 code would help measure/improve quality of care and
(b) applied for a new ICD-10 code and I testified before @CMSGov in Sept 2022

🧵Prone positioning saves lives in severe #ARDS but it's hard to measure how often it actually happens. In 2019, we had to resort to surveying hospitals just to see if it was even an option (pre-covid, it wasn't, at most MA hospitals)...
