Sadly, this is true, and already happening.
Maybe I'd say "environment of increased uncertainty" but in substance, right.
Instead of simply empowering disadvantaged scientists, advanced AI models are creating an environment of mistrust where we will rely even more on poor proxies of reputation, favoring established scientists, privileged institutions and entrenching us into the system of tiered scientific journals.

Obviously trying to revolutionise biology...
But at least you cannot say that they publish everything that is submitted. One of our recent papers (academic.oup.com/genetics/adv...) was rejected from Scientfic Reports for "lack of novelty" (which was probably a good thing, given the type of novelty they are looking for).
Mendelian randomization with proxy exposures: challenges and opportunities

It seemed so incredible that I visited the link. It's REAL. What was this story about almost 28% margin profit necessary to maintain high editorial standards?
"Runctitiononal features"? "Medical fymblal"? "1 Tol Line storee"? This gets worse the longer you look at it. But it's got to be good, because it was published in Nature Scientific Reports last week: www.nature.com/articles/s41... h/t @asa.tsbalans.se

Thought provoking article about whether face transplants are indeed beneficial for patients. Extreme example of why the bar for benefits is much higher for life-enhancing (as opposed to life-saving) treatments. www.theguardian.com/science/2025...

Twenty years after the first face transplant, patients are dying, data is missing, and the experimental procedure’s future hangs in the balance

If they learn English you cannot complain they don't speak English 🤷‍♀️
This is embarrassing. In 2008, I & my family went to a special school for refugees & migrants before being put in the English school system. These resources disappeared since 2010s. British people became more racist over smaller things. And catch-22, people can't integrate when you don't let them.
