Mainer, husband, father, builder, and innovator. Running for governor to bring people together, solve the hardest problems we face, and build a better Maine.
A veteran of Maine federal races and national presidential campaigns, Heather brings decades of experience to our campaign. I’m grateful not only for her support but for her friendship. She is committed to building a better Maine, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to have her leading our team.

How about we get together on lowering healthcare costs and after that we can duke it out on climate? That’s how I’ve gotten things done in my whole life. Using common sense and finding common ground, and getting things done as a result. That’s what I’ll do as governor.

You’re not with me on how to fix the economy? Then let’s work together to make it easier than ever to build housing in Maine. We disagree on education? Why don’t we get to work on cutting red tape and making it easier to grow your business and create good jobs?

My old friend, the former leader of the Sportsman’s Alliance of Maine George Smith once met a guy who told him "George, I think you and I disagree on just about 90% of things." Without missing a beat, George replied, "well then let's get to work on the 10%!" Let’s follow George’s example.

By focusing both at the state level and the town level, working with people across the spectrum, whether it’s developers and lenders, town planners, all of those people really need to have a lot of help, a lot of support and a lot of encouragement in order for us to build more housing here in Maine.
