Mainer, husband, father, builder, and innovator. Running for governor to bring people together, solve the hardest problems we face, and build a better Maine.

Right now, so many of the things we care about are at risk and life is too hard for too many. It’s time to build something better. That’s why I’m running for governor.

You already know my name, but I hope you’ll take a moment to learn a little about me.

Let’s do this together.
You see a lot of me on social media, but you don’t see the team behind the scenes making this campaign possible. At the helm is my campaign manager, Heather Cuzzi. Heather is a lifelong Mainer, so she has both a deep love for our great state and a real appreciation for the challenges we’re facing.

Happy birthday to Governor Mike Dukakis, who gave us all hope that the best America is yet to come, a hope that lives on today. Thanks for being an inspiration to so many.

Here’s two things I’ve learned in my career:

* If you bring people together and keep at it, you can find common ground and get things done.
* Sometimes, you have to be ready to fight for what you’re trying to do.

As governor, I’ll always bring people together and fight to build a better Maine.

Today's news out of DC is that inflation is up, again. But you don't need a report to tell you that.

If we're going to fix this for Maine, we have to do things a different way.

Today, the USDA notified Maine that no SNAP benefits would issued for November. That's just not okay.

It was great to join the Washington County Democrats for a forum on some of the most important issues facing the state. I know things feel more divided than ever right now, but I’m optimistic about Maine’s future.

We’ve got to do a better job of building housing. We really have made it quite hard here.

I won't argue with that headline.

It’s true I’ve spent my life building things that solve problems in the most innovative ways. We need to do things in a fundamentally different way if we are going to tackle Maine’s biggest challenges.

Lucky to have picked a bluebird day to visit the Cranberry Isles Fishermen's Co-Op and hear from Bruce and the team there about bait prices, solar power, and having the most beautiful place to work you could imagine. Reminded me of my own summer as a sternman back in the day #BuildABetterMaine

One of my greatest mentors always reminded us that it was important to “contribute to the community woodpile.” There are plenty of ways to meet the spirit of that idea, and today we did it quite literally. Warms your muscles, warms your heart, and warms your neighbors’ homes.

If we want more renewable energy, if we want more affordable housing, we've got to figure out a way to make it easier for the people doing those things to get it in the ground and to get it operational.

On this solemn anniversary of September 11th, we remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the first responders whose courage shone in our darkest hours. But we also remember the unity that carried us forward in the days and months that followed...

In America, we can disagree. We should disagree. But political violence threatens the very heart of our Democracy. We’ve got to stop this.

My heart goes out to the Kirk family as they face this terrible tragedy.

Nick was a mentor and great friend to uncountable numbers of people, and I’m so grateful for the friendship he showed me these many years. The world is worse off without Nick connecting us all together, and I miss him already.

Great to see John Holobetz (son of my old college classmate!) pitch five scoreless at the final regular season home game for the @portlandseadogs.bsky.social yesterday afternoon. Always a little sad to see the boys of summer leave town, but as every good fan says, wait ‘til next year!
