So proud to have a brand new Governor's Councilor as of Thursday!
@councillordolan.bsky.social will do amazing work to make sure the MA judiciary reflects the needs of young people, people with disabilities, and people in recovery.

Thank you, Chairman Wikler, for joining us in Boston. Young Democrats are the future of our party, and we're lucky to have leaders who want to listen and stand shoulder to shoulder with us

We're in the top 20 most dense communities in Massachusetts.
You don't have to raid open space to build enough housing for everyone!

Honestly really excited to vote for major rezoning proposals this week at Town Meeting. These are the votes I'm going to think back to in twenty years and remember with pride.

Critical Drought declared for Belmont. The severely diminished rainfall is leading to strain on water resources and fire conditions. Be conscious of your water consumption and remember: NO BELMONT CONSERVATION LAND ALLOWS CAMPFIRES.

Glad I got to talk to the Berkeley Beacon about the election. Tuesday was a rough night, but there is so much good in this country. We will fight, and we will win!

As Tuesday's results come into focus, one thing is clear: Local Government is our last line of defense, for women, people of color, the LGBTQ+ community, and working families from every background. I won't stop fighting for my community.

The number one job of a school committee is to keep students safe -
safe from political rewrites of history,
safe from gun violence
safe from losing opportunities and quality instruction from budget cuts.

The new Belmont Middle and High School has been completed, it is so exciting to attend the dedication ceremony today. While this marks a big step in continuing the high standards for education that we hold in town, we need to pay to staff it. That will be the next, critical step.

An hour from Belmont Center to downtown Boston means the MBTA is in crisis, so what does it mean when highschoolers have to get on their buses an hour before class, in a town where you can't be more than a couple miles from the school?

And we wonder why everyone is driving...

Last Monday, I filed to run for a seat on Belmont's School Committee! Our town is in a dire position, and we need to do the work to make sure our most vulnerable students don't fall further through the cracks. Contribute at secure.actblue.com/donate/angus to support our campaign.

Made my state legislative hearing debut today, advocating for the passage of H.1379/S.858 "An Act to Promote Yes In My Backyard"

We need this support from the state to ensure local conversations are productive and don't succumb to fear mongering and delay tactics.

Red sun over Belmont this evening, a chilling reminder of the ongoing climate crisis and a great reason to support abolishing pro-carbon regulations.

Property taxes can be very regressive. Discrepancies between assessed value and sale price give one expensive Belmont home an almost 60% discount on property taxes (assessed $1.2m, sold $2.9m) while units under $1m are more often overvalued than undervalued (from June sales data)
