We still don't know who killed JFK and why exactly. 😢 Just that Lee Harvey Oswald was a poor shot according to the KGB. 🤷

CoreWeave relies on a company that went public through a SPAC, then bankrupt. 🤦
Feels like these guys are...
All-in. 😎
Newsletter: We need to talk about CoreWeave, the first big IPO of the generative AI bubble, with a speculated $35bn valuation, burdened by ruinous debt, impossible-to-meet capacity obligations, and a data center partner that's never built any AI compute.

Soundtrack: EL-P (ft. Aesop Rock) - Run The Numbers In my years writing this newsletter I have come across few companies as rotten as CoreWeave — an "AI cloud provider" that sells GPU compute to AI c...

That last bit cracked me up 🤣
In all seriousness build pipes are a bane.
In almost all companies I worked with was a constant toil because pipelines needed to be updated, modified. Testing them is slow, and business never understood why do we spend so much time on stuff *that doesn't make money*.
⚠️ nerd talk

The most recent iOS build includes some of our internal dev tooling. Turns out this was caused by a race condition in our build pipeline. An internal build was running at the same time as the production build, and the build-number got misassigned. I blame DNS.

Hey fediverse!
Lots of people like the All In Podcast. Nowadays they're seen more right-leaning or even trumpist.
Do you know other podcasts that are similar, but you'd characterise them more left-leaning or centrist?

I know, I should be happy with what we have, but I'm a lifelong "just add one more feature" engineer.

Can we get a translate button on skeets like on X? Directly on the skeet, not hidden in a menu. Please? 🥺

Incredible...
Let's see how the US deals with this matter. If they manage to make it better, maybe there's hope for the UK as well.

Hike the taxes then make a shocked Pikachu face when people and businesses (who apparently understand the economy better than the govt) start saving money and the GDP doesn't grow as expected. 🤦

Been talking to a very senior & and smart engineer today. He's been using mac his ~whole life.
He wasn't aware that there's a Delete key on windows/Linux laptops that lets you delete forward. He's been using an extension in vscode to do so by pressing multiple keys.
I... Don't know what's happening.

The new Labour budget by raising taxes while not tending to the systemic issues will slow down the already miserable growth the #UK #economy could produce. www.msn.com/en-gb/news/n...

TypeScript's type system lets you pull off all sorts of wild tricks.
But the moment something actually breaks? Good luck! You'll be playing detective in a maze.
It's like trying to find a specific grain of sand on the beach, but the beach is on fire, and the sand is screaming at you in TypeScript.

Based on the skeets I read here my feeling was that Kamala had a _much_ better chance of winning.

"We tax more so we can spend more" is the clear signal that a government is incapable of doing their job. You're actually not doing anything, just putting the burden on the people.
A working govt would restructure inefficient systems. That's why you were elected. Do your job or f off. #uk #us

Money Electric: The Bitcoin Mystery.
Not exactly a great documentary.
But if you watch it as a detective story about trying to piece together the origin of #bitcoin, it's quite entertaining.
But seriously, was there anyone who thought we'll learn who Satoshi Nakamoto is from a random docu? 🙂
